Job Description

A post-doctoral position is available in the laboratory of Glenn S. Gerhard, M.D. at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. The successful candidate will work with Dr. Glenn Gerhard to develop an independent research project within the scope of the lab’s focus on aging, genetics, and age-related diseases including cardiovascular disease and cancer. The position involves carrying out bench research involving genetics and genomics, molecular and cellular biology techniques, analysis of human samples, the development of novel cellular and animal models, and bioinformatics analysis of large datasets. The successful candidate will be expected to apply for fellowship funding, contribute to the writing of grants and manuscripts, contribute to entrepreneurial activities, and participate in the mentoring and training of lab members as needed supporting the collaborative and innovative environment of the lab.
