Job Duties
Reporting to the Associate Vice Chancellor and Deputy Chief People Officer, the Senior Director for Operations provides strategic leadership and management for core operational functions within the Department for People Operations, Success, and Opportunity (POSO) service delivery model. This role is responsible for developing and implementing an integrated strategy across the administrative areas of Care & Solutions, Eligibility & Records, and People Data Management. The Senior Director ensures high-quality service delivery for case management, onboarding/offboarding, employee records, and people data management, optimizing technology and data while ensuring compliance and institutional efficiency. As a member of the POSO leadership team, the Senior Director collaborates with POSO leaders to align areas within the Operations portfolio to university and department goals, compliance standards, and service expectations.
Key responsibilities include:
Translating University and POSO priorities to create and operationalize a unified strategic vision and a multi-year roadmap for the Operations functional area. (30%)
Leading, developing, and coaching a high performing team of directors and professionals focusing on innovation, modernized practice, operational excellence, accountability, and well-being. (20%)
Leveraging technology and data to enhance customer service and assess service level agreement standards and serving as the lead POSO Salesforce People360 administrator. (30%)
Engaging stakeholders and promoting POSO’s practices and protocols related to POSO operations, change management, and data infrastructure. (20%)

Minimum Education/Experience
Advanced degree with 3 years of experience or Bachelor’s degree with 5 years experience
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
Detail-oriented, proven leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams within a human resource setting, demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, expertise in data analysis and performance metrics to inform decision-making and improve operational efficiency
