Part-Time Pharmacist
Department: Arthritis & Clinical Immuno
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Position Overview and Responsibilities
The Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation is seeking a part-time pharmacist. The individual filling this role will support various clinical trials by ensuring the proper handling of investigational study drugs and maintaining compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities will include the following:
- Reviewing prescriptions
- Providing medication guidance
- Maintaining accurate records
- Ensuring the quality and safety of pharmaceuticals.
Key duties include:
Assisting with clinical trials by:
- Labeling investigational study drugs
- Reviewing prescriptions for accuracy
- Identifying necessary ingredients
- Evaluating medication suitability
Providing information and advice on:
- Drug interactions
- Side effects
- Dosage recommendations
- Proper medication storage
Maintaining accurate records, such as:
- Pharmacy files and patient profiles
- Charge system files and inventory records
- Control records and registries for regulated substances
Implementing procedures for:
- Mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals
- Ensuring compliance with legal and policy requirements
- Maintaining quality, security, and proper disposal
- Assessing the identity, strength, and purity of medications
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in pharmacy or related field.
- Qualified candidates must be a registered Oklahoma Pharmacist.
Preferred Qualifications
-Doctorate in pharmacy strongly preferred.
